The Greek spaghetti is pretty awesome. I don't like cinnamon, but the flavor (thankfully) is barely noticeable. The portion size was large enough for two meals. Had a side salad that was also tasty. The ambiance was more family-oriented, which is not a bad thing. I would gladly visit again.

Uh oh. The remodel is done and the place is spectacular. Now the restaurant atmosphere is every bit as awesome as the food! Before the remodel we ate there at least one a week and loved every dish- especially the seafood w a bit of Grecian flare. Last night my wife and I wanted to order everything on the menu but settled on steak and seafood. We did however get lucky enough to see a lot of the orders come out of the kitchen and it will very tough to not come back again tonight. I just can't say enough about what a great job the owners did on the restaurant. Anybody that spends that much effort is serious about making Aegean Breeze a contender for the best restaurant in Pensacola.

It used to be good now it is commercialized a lot and it took us 50 minutes to get food and the waiter takes so long to refill your drinks. The place is not the crowded a well. The food is just ok. I would not recommend the burger it is messy. I miss the old Aegean:(

Great place for lunch. Grouper sandwich is awwwwesome! And huge! Aegean burger is freaking amazing! And huge! Had the moussaka before, was a disappointment. Seafood platter is pretty good. Bummer that they don't have fountain drinks or sweet tea.

This is where the locals go. You can't go wrong with their ribeye or the pretzel grouper.

This is very much a local place. It's kind of tucked away, hidden, and delicious! The ambience: kind of cheesy, stereotypical "Greek" decorations, plastic seating, paper napkins, plastic cups. Nice family oriented place. Overall, a little cheesy but laid back and casual. The service: good. not too overbearing, but friendly enough to chat a little bit. no complaints there. The food: nothing i've ever had here has been anything but delicious. The calamari is good, although thicker pieces than i'm used too. The humus is also super yummy. The greek salad is good as a starter salad. The entrees are all delicious! My favorites are the grilled shrimp with baked potato, eggplant sandwich with fries, and pork chops. The grilled shrimp is seasoned perfectly and great for a lighter meal. I love to sprinkle it with lemon and of course add the house tzatziki sauce which is to die for by the way!!! The eggplant sandwich is HUGE and a great value at 9. It is fried eggplant with cheese, peppers, and a little aioli. I always add tzatziki of course. Comes with fries. Delicious although last time was a tad greasy. The pork chops are always a favorite of mine. Cooked perfectly, juicy, and of course like everything else at agean breeze: HUGE. Overall, a delicious mom and pop restaurant. Just remember this is casual eating. Don't expect anything fancy, just a ton of good food for a good price.

Stavros does a great job in the kitchen. I will agree the rolls for the starter are a little weak and right out of a plastic bag. They are not hamburger buns though, they are some sort of prepackaged yeast rolls. I would also say the dinner salad is just average at best...... But the steaks and chops are seasoned and grilled wonderfully, the sandwitchs are huge and taste great, and the seafood is delightful. The service at the place is great and for the locals they know you and welcome the whole family.

A small restaurant tucked away in the back of a strip mall near the Pensacola Beach bridge. The style is Greek, although sometimes it's hard to tell: for example, the free appetizer seems to be two hamburger buns, feta cheese, and olive oil. Still it does offer a number of excellent seafood and lamb dishes and the service is OK. Try the hummus. You're in Pensacola: it's about seafood and not so much about lamb.

This place has a family owned feel, with a kind and friendly staff. The decor is underwhelming, and outdated, but what really matters is the food. It was very good and in large portions. The sever was welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be going back again.

We wanted local, we got it. About the good part, we did not get both of our plates were not good. Grilled shrimps drowning in oil. Pasta with shrimps, crawfish and asparagus bland and soggy. It was the only time we went to the restaurant during our camping trip and we wish we had stayed at the campground.

The calamari and hummus appetizers were fine. I ordered a steak because previous reviews were talking about how good they were. WRONG. It was tough and over seasoned. I ordered it rare and it came over done. Don't get the steak. We also had lamb chops at our table and they said they were just okay.

Fantastic place, don't confuse the "whole in the wall" look with cleanliness. This place is some of the best food you can get in Gulf Breeze, the coolest thing is lunch, you get the dinner portions with the lunch prices. The appetizer and salad are small and unimpressive, the entree makes up for it big time. I think this is still a BOB place. Fantastic steaks also, try the Port St Joe sauce is you can.

Let me start by saying I want to like this place enough to visit several time per week. However, it suffers from self importance and no competition in Gulf Breeze proper. Pretty much everything is over priced. They used to have a petite filet for $14 that was the best steak deal in town. I told everyone not to miss it. Alas, that is no longer available. Lunch doesn't offer anything at a reasonable price other than gyros. Disappointing since I'd like to mix things up and try many more of the dishes. I just refuse to on principal. Nor do they ever seem to have a healthy steamed or sautéed veggie side. I have always had good service, and if you sit in the main room, the aesthetics are nice.

In addition to writing this review to help others avoid this restaurant, the second best thing I can offer is a call to Robert Irvine. Mr. Irvine PLEASE visit this place for a makeover if the owners haven't already called you. The interior and décor of this place is old, veeeeeeery old and its clear things like vents, ceiling tiles etc. haven't been cleaned since they were installed. Now to the food. This was an experience of mostly canned, frozen and processed. A salad on the menu that featured fruit on it had canned peaches and pears. C'mon this is Florida, no fresh fruit?? At least the fruit flies that dive bombed our salad throughout the evening was a reminder that it was a fruit product. Want a cold beer in a cold glass? You'll have to settle for plastic beer glasses. Are u kidding me, in a restaurant that has $20.00+ menu items? I will say we had the friendliest waitress who was very nice and attentive. Hopefully she'll be able to take her skills to place where the menu and atmosphere can make her shine.

Giving this 5 stars is not to imply this is 5 star dining but to say it is excellent food and freindly service in modest facilities. Simply the best Red Sanpper you will eat. Good greek food. Great value. A place you can go back to over and over again and always be pleased. Hard to find that sharp right turn when headed from Pensecola towards Gulfbreeze or Pensecola Beach but a must place to try if you enjoy good food

If we'd seen the men's room before ordering, we wouldn't have ordered. The server was great, even quietly making a point to steer us away from the dolmas which, she explained, are not made in house. I don't understand why a Greek restaurant would bring bread with Greek olives for a free starter and then use bland American olives on a hummus platter. These bland olives also showed up on our Greek side salads... That came with a creamy Italian dressing. Weird! The hummus is just so-so. Made in house, but not creamy enough. I but down on a couple of pieces if raw garlic. Cokes by the can are a cheap way to go for a restaurant- too cheap- and a definite bad deal for diners. Our entrees left a LOT to be desired... My moussaka was a mess of meat sauce with 4 bitter slices of fried eggplant thrown in. It was bizarrely topped with cheddar cheese. Hubby's shrimp Parmesan was very, very salty and also topped with cheddar. We would never come here again.

Despite the modest looking outward appearance, this restaurant has very good food. I'm a steak lover and I thnk their Ribeye is as good any any you will find in the Pensacola area. It gets crowded early on Friday and Saturday nights, particularly during the summer months so be prepared for a substantial wait.

Make sure you have an appetite and are ready to get your eat on....the servings are HUGE. Recommended to me by my hotel manager - it was a treat and a hidden local secret to find Aegean Breeze. I needed a change from the normal food places here in Pcola - and eating Greek hit the spot! It is tucked away in a strip mall area...But it is a hidden treasure. Friendly wait staff! The specials board would make you think they are an Italian restaurant, but far from it. I initially ordered stuffed grape leaves, a greek salad and two gyros. My server told me that it was too much food. She told me the portions were large and that I really wouldnt finish it. Im an eater and immediately didnt want to back down - so she showed me some plates as they came out. It was too much. The servings are huge - at a reasonable price. I adjusted my order and got the grape leaves (and ended up with a take-home box) a small side greek salad (and didnt finish it) and 1 gyros (outstanding, fresh and huge. I also got a chance to sample the moussaka (a must order). The Retsina was cold and very good. The best part was at the end...fresh, fantastic Baclava. They have fast Wi-Fi!! Will I return: Most Definitely!!

A hard to find place but worth it once there. A very friendly waiter and all the staf seemed very welcoming. They treated our kids great who were very into the fish tank up front. The food was fresh and tasted very good. The starter bread with olives /feta/olive oil makes me happy. I had the seafood au gratin and it was good. A bit overwhelming the amount of food i received. The dish was packed full of crawifsh, scallops, and shrimp. Hard to make any headway in this dish there is always another chunk of shrimp hiding behind the next noodle. Deserts were pretty good, the house made baklava was a bit heavy on the allspice but other than that the deserts were tasty. I would recommend.
